Abuse Counseling
Sexual Abuse & Assault
Confidential, paced healing after sexual abuse or assault — recent or long ago.
Healing after sexual abuse or assault is not linear, and there is no 'right' way to feel. You may be dealing with flashbacks, shame, numbness, difficulty with intimacy, or a body that reacts before your mind catches up. All of it makes sense given what your body and mind have been through.
In our work, you are always in charge of what you share and when. We'll use trauma-informed tools to help you feel safer in your body, gently process what happened, and reconnect with the parts of your life the abuse tried to take from you.
You never have to
- Report to anyone in order to receive support.
- Share every detail before you're ready — or ever.
- 'Prove' what happened or justify how you responded.
- Explain why you didn't leave, fight, freeze, or speak sooner.
- Grieve, rage, or heal on anyone's timeline but your own.
