Co-Dependency Counseling

There are various signs that you may be struggling with codependency. The most common signs are if you always feel worried about feeling abandoned or alone, sticking with someone who mistreats you and does not respect you, and feeling like you cannot live without others. If you are in a codependent relationship and would like your relationship to overcome the co-dependency, know that it is possible.

Signs of Codependency

How to recognize codependent patterns in yourself or a relationship you care about.

Codependency often hides behind qualities we're taught to admire — being helpful, loyal, self-sacrificing, easy-going. Underneath, it can look like constant worry about being abandoned, staying in relationships where you feel mistreated or unseen, and a deep sense that you cannot function on your own.

Naming the pattern is the first step. Once you can see it clearly, you can begin to make different choices — starting with the small ones.

Reclaim Yourself

Rebuild your sense of self, your boundaries, and your capacity for grounded connection.

Recovery from codependency isn't about becoming cold or distant. It's about learning that you can love people fully and still remain a whole person yourself. Together we work on tolerating the discomfort of setting a boundary, listening to your own needs, and building relationships that don't require you to disappear.

This is slow, honest work — and it is absolutely possible.

Who's On Your Team?

Build the support system you need — inside and outside of therapy.

Healing from codependency is much easier when you're not doing it alone. Alongside counseling, most clients benefit from a wider circle of support — trusted friends, peer groups, and resources they can lean on between sessions.

Alexia will help you take stock of who is on your team, where the gaps are, and how to build the kind of support that keeps you steady as you change.
